AS PART OF OUR EVENT PRODUCTION TREATMENT, VENDORS AT THE ELECTRIFY EXPO HAD THE OPTION TO BUY INTO A MEDIA SERVICES PROGRAM. WITH THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO REQUEST SPECIFIC MEDIA BUYS. FOR THIS EXAMPLE THEY ASKED FOR AN EXCITING RECAP OF THE WEEKEND, SOMETHING THEY COULD POST THE WEEK AFTER THE EXPO. AS PART OF THIS BUY-IN WE DELIVERED IT IN THREE FORMATS, HORIZONTAL, VERTICAL AND SQUARE.

EVENT
PRODUCTION

Electrify Expo is the largest outdoor electric vehicle festival in North America. Pattern Behavior Creative was hired on day one to produce content at and between expos. The expo is a unique and exciting experience and because of that we wanted to give them, as our client, an exciting experience as well.

Since the expo was this new thing we wanted to use this opportunity to do some experimenting of our own. Rightaway the decision was made to take a non-corporate approach and instead produce relatable and sometime funny content. We really wanted to succeed in doing something different and unexpected. We also decided to invest in some new tech that would give us the ability to produce polished content in the matter of hours.

The first year consisted of three expos across America and saw nearly fifty thousand people attend. The expo also won Impact 21 "Expo of the Year". In 2022 we helped them to expand to seven cities and saw around one hundred thousand people attend. In those two years we grew their social media followers from 0 to 250,000 followers.

MATT AND THE MATTS

Hiring Matt Locke as a host was one of the first decisions we made. He's funny, easy to talk to, athletic and unexpectedly loquacious. In addition to being an on screen host, Matt also appeared as himself and "The Matts" in advertisements between expos.
